The Wokingham Safeguarding Children Board (WSCB) does not deliver direct services but is there to make sure that the services provided in the local area effectively safeguard and promote the welfare of children.
While we do not deliver services we do our best to make sure that all agencies meet their safeguarding requirements and share good practice and hold agencies to account when there are concerns about how their service safeguards and promotes the welfare of children.
If you wish to bring a matter to the attention of the WSCB then you can contact their Business Manager or Independent Chair by email at WSCB@wokingham.gov.uk or by phone on 0118 9746105 (WBC Children’s Services Reception - who will be able to put you in contact with them).
Sometimes you may feel that a particular member of staff, team or agency has provided you with exceptional service, or gone the extra mile to help. If you would like to tell us about these occasions we would be delighted to hear from you, as it helps us to understand what you consider to be a good experience and encourages us to continually improve what we do.
If you are not happy in relation to work being undertaken by social care or other agencies in relation to you or your children, you might want to complain about the service you are receiving, or the way you have been treated. These concerns will always be taken seriously. Details of how to make a complaint or comment are on partners websites as follows:
Wokingham Borough Council Complaints and Compliments
Thames Valley Police Complaints and Compliments
Berkshire Healthcare Foundation Trust Comments and Complaints
Wokingham Clinical Commissioning Group Complaints and Compliments
If your complaint is about the outcome of a Child Protection Conference you should talk to the Chairperson of the Conference in the first instance. If your concern remains unresolved then the complaints procedure can be found at:
